We are a home publisher created to publish the letters that my father wrote to his fiancée during his time as a Territorial Army soldier in the first world war when he was stationed in Mesopotamia (current Iraq), Palestine and Egypt. It details both his personal stories, his concerns and joys; and as adjutant for the regiment, it provides insights into the military tactics and strategies of the 1/5 Battaliion, Somerset Light Infantry.

Since retirement I have been involved and gained much pleasure from Shere, Gomshall and Peaslake Local History Society, and have published books for them and in conjunction with the Surrey Archelogical Society. Titles include Shere Poverty, an exploration of the Poor Law in Shere and surrounding villages; A Tannery in Gomshall, recounting the history of Gomshall Tannery until it finally closed down and the site burnt down in the early 1990's. Shere Church Bells was written by Eric Thornton, one of the bell ringers.
